The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates is hosting a Reception on the Occasion of National Day

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Mauritania, His Excellency Mr. Hamad Ghanem Hamad Al Muhairi, organized, this Wednesday evening in Nouakchott, a ceremony to commemorate the National Day of the United Arab Emirates, a brotherly country.

The government was represented at this ceremony by His Excellency the Minister of Justice, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt;  the Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdallahi Ould Souleymane Ould Cheikh Sidiya;  and the Adviser to the Prime Minister, Ms. Hindou Mint Ainina.

After the performance of the Mauritanian and Emirati national anthems, the audience watched a documentary presentation outlining the stages of the development of the United Arab Emirates from its founding to the present day.

In his speech on this occasion, the United Arab Emirates Ambassador accredited to Mauritania emphasized that the relations between the United Arab Emirates and Mauritania are strong and developing fraternal relations, noting that they are based on solid foundations of mutual respect, common interests, and historical and cultural ties.

He stated that the United Arab Emirates, based on their balanced and open foreign policy that believes in promoting dialogue and international cooperation, is keen to strengthen partnership ties with Mauritania in various fields, in order to serve the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples toward greater progress and prosperity.

He affirmed that the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates believes that peace and development go hand in hand in building a better future for peoples, emphasizing that it is in this spirit that the UAE, through its partnership with Mauritania, seeks to support development and humanitarian efforts, and to contribute to strengthening stability and sustainable development. They are also committed to developing bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, clean energy, and agriculture, based on a strategic vision aimed at building a partnership.

The reception took place in the presence of the ambassador in charge of missions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, the Ambassador director general of the Bilateral Cooperation Administration, the Ambassador director of Communication and Media, and the Ambassador director of the Arab World, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Mauritania and a number of cultural and intellectual figures.
