The Minister of Economic Affairs Discusses with a Delegation from the Italian Cassa Depositi e Prestiti

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdallah Ould Souleimane Ould Cheikh Sidiya, received yesterday evening at his office in Nouakchott a high-level delegation from the Italian Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), including Paolo Lombardo, Director of International Cooperation for Development at the fund, Enrico Perotti, the fund’s representative in Morocco, and Georgia  BrilLaz, Head of Institutional and International Relations.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the prospects for cooperation between our country and this institution, which is one of the European financial institutions supporting development in developing countries, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, clean energy, and support for the private sector.The two parties also discussed opportunities to benefit from Italian cooperation programs and the innovative financing mechanisms offered by CDP to fund strategic projects in Mauritania.
This meeting falls within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Development to mobilize external funding and expand international partnerships in a way that serves our country’s developmental goals.
