President of the Employers’ Federation meets with a delegation of Chinese business owners

The President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mr. Mohamed Zine El Abidine Cheikh Ahmed, met today, Monday, in his office with a delegation of Chinese business owners from Gansu Province, China, who are currently visiting our country.

The President of the Union welcomed the Chinese delegation and spoke about the deep-rooted relations between Mauritania and China, especially on the economic front. He also highlighted the significant investment opportunities available in Mauritania across many promising sectors such as industry, agriculture, livestock, fisheries, minerals, energy, and renewable energy.

In light of these capabilities and the incentives provided by the investment code, as well as the important Chinese experience, the head of the union called on Chinese businesspeople to invest in Mauritania, expressing the union’s readiness to provide full support to Chinese investors wishing to work in Mauritania.

In turn, the members of the delegation thanked the head of the union for the warm welcome and spoke about the importance of China’s Gansu Province and its significant capabilities, particularly in the field of agriculture, emphasizing their readiness to cooperate with Mauritanian companies in their areas of expertise, such as agriculture, animal husbandry, irrigation and farming equipment, and fodder.
