On 18 November, Mr. Mamoudou Mamadou Niang, Minister of Estates, State Property, and Land Reform, held a working meeting with Mr. Matthias Nap, Director of the Regional Service Center for Africa of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), on the sidelines of the 30th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30), held in Belem, Brazil.
Discussions between the two parties focused on ways to strengthen cooperation in the area of land governance, as well as on monitoring the implementation of the joint project, signed in Nouakchott on 30 May 2025.
The meeting also focused on mechanisms for preparing a roundtable of donors, bringing together technical and financial partners, in Nouakchott.
