President of Republic Receives Attijari Wafa Bank CEO

On 18 November, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic, received Mr. Mohamed El Kettani, Chairman and CEO of Attijari Wafa Bank.

The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening cooperation with the group, particularly in the field of renewable energy. Mr. El Kettani expressed his institution’s willingness to put its expertise and financing at the service of wind and solar projects in our country, particularly in industrial areas, while ensuring the integration of local content and encouraging a partnership model between the bank, national industry, and clean energy.

The meeting also examined the possibility of expanding financing solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises in our country, drawing on the pioneering experience of the Attijari Wafa Bank group.

This meeting reinforces our country’s focus on developing the sustainable energy sector and supporting the national private sector.
