Social Affairs Minister meets with her Algerian counterpart

The Minister of Social Affairs, Children and Family, Ms. Saviya Mint Ntehah, met on Tuesday in Algeria with the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ms. Souaria Moulouji.

In a joint statement to the press following the meeting, the minister reaffirmed Mauritania’s desire to expand areas of cooperation with Algeria and to exchange experiences in various social programmes, while the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues of the Algerian Republic expressed Algeria’s pride in the new dynamism that characterizes relations between the two brotherly countries.

The minister’s visit to Algeria is part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences between the two countries in the social sphere, particularly in the areas of women’s empowerment, care for persons with disabilities, family protection and sustainable social development.
