Prime Minister chairs a Ministerial Committee to discuss the Status of the National Public Procurement Order and the Regulatory Code Governing it.

On Monday June 15, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Djay, chaired a ministerial committee to review and discuss the study presented on the status of the national public procurement and the regulations governing it, with the aim of ensuring transparency in the offer and allocation to achieve optimal implementation of public contracts in accordance with the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, who places good governance, transparency, and effectiveness in public work at the heart of national priorities.

After examination and discussion, the esteemed Prime Minister ordered that the observations and recommendations presented by the esteemed ministers and technicians be taken into account in the study, ensuring the achievement of a comprehensive study based on the reality and circumstances surrounding the public procurement, which should aim to strike a balance between accuracy in examination and evaluation on one hand, and simplification and effectiveness on the other.

He also ordered the organization of technical meetings that include all parties related to the public order and to gather information that could enhance the content of the proposed document in a way that ensures the achievement of the intended goals.
