Minister of Social Action Receives UNICEF Resident Representative

On 11 September, in Nouakchott, Ms. Safia Ntahah, the Minister of Social Action, Children, and Family, received Mr. Kebir Alaoui El Madaghri, the Resident Representative of the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Mauritania.

The meeting reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation between the department and the Fund, particularly in the area of support and protection for children in general and those in conflict with the law in particular.

The two parties also examined opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the area of protecting and promoting women’s rights.
