Mauritania condemns Israel’s Brutal Aggression and Flagrant Violation of Qatar’s Sovereignty

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has condemned in the strongest terms Israel’s brutal attack and flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar.

This came in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, which reads as follows:

“In a flagrant violation of international conventions and laws, Israel today attacked the sisterly State of Qatar.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad condemns in the strongest terms this flagrant violation of the sovereignty of an independent country that is a member of the United Nations, and affirms its support for the sisterly State of Qatar in all matters related to the preservation of its security and the safety of its citizens, calls on the international community to deal firmly and decisively with this aggression, which threatens security and stability in the Gulf region and exacerbates the tension there.
