President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott After Attending AfDB Group President’s Swearing-in Ceremony

On 1 September, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, returned to Nouakchott from the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, where he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Mr. Sidi Ould Tah, the President of the African Development Bank Group.

His Excellency the President of the Republic was welcomed at Nouakchott Oumtounsy International Airport by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. El Moctar Ould Djay, the Minister Counselor at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdallahi Ould Ethmane, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdallahi Ben Boya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Defense and Affairs of Retirees and Children of Martyrs, Mr. Hanena Ould Sidi, the Minister of the Interior, Promotion of Decentralization, and Local Development, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, Ms. Gandega Fatimata, the Wali of Nouakchott West, Mr. Mrabih Rabou Ould Bounena Ould Abidine, and the Vice President of the Nouakchott Region, Mr. Beirouk Mohamed Lemine Beirouk.

His Excellency the President of the Republic was accompanied by a large delegation, including:

– Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister in charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic;

– Ms. Aissata Ba Yahya, the Minister Counselor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Sid’Ahmed Ould Bouh, the Minister of Economy and Finance;

– Mr. Mohamed Abdallahi Khatra, the Ambassador of Mauritania to Côte d’Ivoire;

– Mr. Ahmed Bah, a.k.a. Hmeyda, Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Ahmed Bahini, Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Sidi Moulay Zeine, Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Sid’Ahmed Raïess, Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. El Hacen Ould Ahmed, Director General of State Protocol, and a delegation of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, chaired by Mr. Mohamed Zeine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
