Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance meets with Delegation from the African Solidarity Fund

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Mr. Yacoub Ould Ahmed Aicha, met yesterday, Monday, at the ministry’s headquarters, with a high-level delegation from the African Solidarity Fund, headed by the Fund’s Director General, Mr. Abdoulaye Diallo, accompanied by Mr. Abdoulaye Ahmedou Sidibe, Director of Operations and Projects, and Mr. Ahmedou Soumaré, Senior Portfolio Manager for Mauritania at the Fund.

This meeting is part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two sides and discuss ways to support the country’s development process.

The visit of the African Solidarity Fund to our country aims to reaffirm the Fund’s unwavering commitment to continuing its support for Mauritania on its path towards economic advancement, and to discuss with various public and private sector stakeholders the achievements made and the Fund’s future aspirations.

The Mauritanian delegation included Mr. Bouh Ould El Tar, Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould El Nani, Director General of Finance and Economic Cooperation, and Mr. Mohamed Ould Tagra, Director General of Evaluation, Monitoring and Reforms, who is our country’s representative on the Fund’s Board of Directors.
