Human Rights Commissioner heads to Geneva to participate in the 59th Session of the Human Rights Council

The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action and Relations with Civil Society, Mr. Sid Ahmed Ould Bennan, left Nouakchott at dawn on Saturday for Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The Commissioner is accompanied by an important delegation that includes Mr. Harouna Traore in charge of the Presidency of the Republic, a representative of the Ministry of Justice, and officials from the National Authority to Combat Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants and the Commission.
