Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets With SRFC Representatives

A high-level panel, chaired by HE Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, was held on 12 June in Nice on the sidelines of the UN Conference on the Oceans. The panel was co-organized by Mauritania and the Sub-Regional Fisheries Commission (SRFC) on the theme ‘Strengthening transparency and enforcement of fisheries governance, from West African coastal waters to the high seas’.

Attended by ministers from the Gambia, the Republic of Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Madagascar, the panel brought together representatives of regional organizations, international partners, scientists, and civil society players committed to the sustainable management of marine resources.
