The President of the Republic receives a written message from the President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic

The President of the Republic H.E.  Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani received, on Friday, at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, the President of the Saharawi National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, who handed him a written message from H.E. the President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, Ibrahim Ghali.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Saharawi National Council made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency, saying that he and the accompanying delegation had had the honor of meeting H.E. the President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to whom he handed a written message from H.E. the President of the SADR, Ibrahim Ghali.

He added that he and H.E. the President of the Republic discussed issues of common interest, and ways of strengthening the solid ties between the two brotherly peoples, and stepping up cooperation, consultation and coordination between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Saharawi Republic.

He indicated that H.E. President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani had asked him to convey a message of friendship and fraternity to H.E. President Ibrahim Ghali, adding that the meeting was an opportunity to congratulate the President and the people of Mauritania on the success of the Mauritanian candidate, Sidi Ould Tah, for the presidency of the African Development Bank (ADB).
