Minister Delegate in charge of Budget Receives Delegation from European Parliament’s Committee on Development

Mr. Codioro Moussa N’Guenor, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the Budget, received a delegation from the European Parliament’s Committee on Development, led by Ms. Hildegard Bentel, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Discussions focused on potential synergies between the European Union’s development initiatives and Mauritania’s objectives, particularly concerning economic growth, poverty eradication, and sustainable development.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between Mauritania and the European Union in the fields of education, health, and natural resource management. He affirmed Mauritania’s commitment to working closely with the EU to achieve the goals set by the Supreme Planning Council.

The discussions also provided an opportunity to highlight Mauritania’s priorities and to explore financing and support mechanisms that the European Union could offer to bolster the country’s development.
