Minister of Youth Empowerment reviews Mauritania’s Approach to Green Skills Development

London

The Minister of Youth Empowerment, Employment, Sports and Civil Service, Mr. Mohamed Abdallahi Louli, participated yesterday in a panel discussion entitled: “Strategies, Policies and Procedures for Green Skills Development”.

During his participation in the Global Education Forum currently taking place in London, the Minister reviewed Mauritania’s approach to green skills development, which is based on four main pillars:

– Integrating environmental education and climate change awareness programs in the early stages of formal school education.

– Strengthening technical and vocational education and training programs related to the energy transition, in line with national legislation on local content, with the aim of consolidating skills and enhancing competencies at the national level.

– Encourage public-private partnerships as a key pillar for developing environmental skills and creating sustainable job opportunities.

– Invest in the production of reliable and relevant data, based on the belief that effective policies are built on accurate and high-quality information.
