Majority Parties deliver their Response to the National Dialogue Coordinator on their Vision for the Upcoming Dialog

On Sunday evening, the majority parties handed over to the National Dialogue Coordinator, Mr. Moussa Fall, a petition that included their vision on the basic issues that should be included in the upcoming political dialogue.

The document, handed over by the President of the Equity Party, Mr. Sid Ahmed Ould Mohamed, in the presence of the heads of the majority parties, included responses to the questions addressed by the National Dialogue Coordinator to the various political formations on various issues related to this dialogue.

In a speech on the occasion, the National Dialogue Coordinator thanked the majority parties for submitting a unified proposal on the political dialogue, noting that their unified vision on all issues to be addressed by the dialogue is important to reach a political consensus.

He pointed out that Mauritania’s historical and political accumulations, as well as the development of political thought in particular, allow its political parties to organize a dialogue in a spirit of responsibility and respect, allowing for useful results.

For his part, the President of the Equity Party, Sidi Ahmed Ould Mohamed, thanked all the majority parties for their positions that reflect their unity behind the choices of the President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, noting that this meeting expresses the commitment to support his decision to organize a comprehensive national dialogue.

He added that despite the comfortable political situation in the country and the openness, His Excellency the President of the Republic was keen to organize a national political dialogue between all political parties to raise all issues and present appropriate visions to solve the various issues.

He said that the presidential majority decided to collectively respond to the letter sent by the National Coordinator for Dialogue on its vision on the main issues necessary to organize a political dialogue in the best way
