Spring Meetings of Iernational Financial Institutions kick off with the Participation of a Delegation from our Country

The 2025 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) kicked off in Washington, D.C. on Monday, April 21-26, with the participation of a high-level Mauritanian delegation, including the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid4 Ahmed Ould Bouh, the Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Mohamed Lamine Ould Dahabi, and several senior officials from the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Ministry, the Economy and Finance sector, and the Central Bank

This year’s spring meetings, attended by ministers of economy and finance, central bank governors and leaders of international financial institutions, are expected to discuss the various economic and financial challenges that are growing globally, due to trade tensions, tariffs, the debt crisis, reforming financial institutions, promoting global financial stability and job creation.

In addition to the meetings of Arab and African governors with the President of the World Bank and the Managing Director of the IMF, our delegation will review during special meetings the progress of the reform program that binds us to the IMF. It will also review the portfolio of projects funded by this institution in our country during its meetings with the World Bank leadership.
