Minister of Defence holds Talks with the Chief of Defence Staff of the Republic of The Gambia

The Minister of Defence, Retirees and Children of Martyrs, Hanana Ould Sidi, received on Thursday at his office at the Ministry‘s headquarters in Nouakchott, Lieutenant General Matte Ou Cham, Chief of Defence Staff of the Republic of The Gambia.

The meeting dealt with cooperation relations between the two countries, especially in the field of defense and security, and ways to enhance and develop them.

The meeting was attended on the Mauritanian side by Lieutenant General Mohamed Val Rais Rais, Chief of the General Staff of the Armies, Colonel Sheikh Mohamed Lamine Bilal, Director of Foreign Relations at the Ministry of Defense, and on the Gambian side, by His Excellency Cheikh Mansour Faye, Ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia to Mauritania.
