Mauritania and Finland discuss Strengthening Partnership in Mining and Industry

The Minister of Mines and Industry, Mr. Thiam Tidjani, held a working session with the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Mauritania, Ms. Marianna Saal, on Tuesday in Nouakchott to discuss ways to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of mining and industry.

For her part, the Finnish ambassador emphasized her country’s keenness to consolidate cooperation relations with Mauritania, noting that Finland possesses advanced expertise and technologies in the fields of mining and manufacturing industries, which can contribute to supporting economic development in Mauritania.

The meeting comes as part of Mauritania’s efforts to attract foreign investments and strengthen partnerships with leading countries in the technological field, as Finland is one of the most prominent European actors in the industrial and mining sectors.

The talks were held in the presence of a number of the sector’s executives.
