Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development meets with Kuwaiti Interior Minister

The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Ms. Messouda Mint Baham Ould Mohamed Laghdhaf, met on Monday in Kuwait with the First Vice President of the State of Kuwait Mr. Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the Sixth Arab Forum for Disaster Reduction currently meeting in Kuwait City.

The two ministers reviewed common environmental challenges, emphasizing that the details of cooperation will be discussed further with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Environment and that the partnership between the two sectors in the two brotherly countries will focus on risk and disaster management, pollution control and waste management.

Mauritania and Kuwait will focus on risk and disaster management, pollution control and waste management, in addition to preserving natural resources, combating desertification and climate change.
