Minister of Fisheries participates in Agadir Seafood Exhibition “Aliotis”

On Wednesday in Agadir, Morocco, the Minister of Fisheries, Maritime Infrastructure and Port, Mr. Fadhil Ould Sidati Ould Ahmed Louli, participated in the opening ceremony of the seventh edition of the Agadir Seafood Fair “Aliotis”, organized under the theme “Research and Innovation for Sustainable Fishing”.

The Minister of Fisheries, Maritime and Port Infrastructures paid a field visit to the Mauritanian pavilion, during which he received detailed explanations from representatives of exhibiting companies and associations, and inquired about the products on display and the level of interest in the Mauritanian pavilion.

At the Mauritanian pavilionhe, the Minister of Fisheries also received the Moroccan Prime Minister, Mr. Aziz Akhnouch, and his accompanying delegation during his inspection tour of the exhibition’s pavilions.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Minister of Fisheries, Marine and Port Infrastructure held a meeting with his Russian counterpart, during which they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of scientific research and health inspection and the possibility of opening Russian markets to Mauritanian marine products.

The meeting also touched on the possibility of revitalizing the Mauritanian-Russian joint fishing committee.

The two ministers also exchanged visits to the Mauritanian and Russian pavilions at the exhibition and familiarized themselves with their contents.

The Minister also visited the pavilion of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of the exhibition.
