Minister of Foreign Affairs receives the Commissioner for International Partnerships of the European Union (EU)

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug received on Thursday at his office Mr. Joseph Sekela, Commissioner for International Partnerships of the European Union (EU), who is currently visiting our country at the head of an important EU delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed the opportunities and prospects of cooperation and partnership between our country and the European Union, ways of enhancing and developing them, and issues of common interest.

The meeting was held in the presence of Mr. Bal Mohamed El Habib, Ambassador, Secretary General of the Ministry, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Ibrahim El khalil, Ambassador of our country in Brussels, Sheikh Sid Ahmed Mohamed Saleck, Ambassador, Director of the League of Arab States and Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Director General of Multilateral Cooperation, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Ould Douh, Ambassador, Director of Communication and Information, and Mr. Mohamed Lamine Ould El Bashir, Ambassador, Director of Europe in the Directorate General of Bilateral Cooperation.
