President of Republic, AU Chairman, Receives Important EU Delegation

On 18 December, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union, received a large delegation from the European Union (EU), led by H.E. Mr. Joseph Sekela, the Commissioner for International Partnerships, and including Ronald Sword, the Deputy Head of the Commissioner’s Cabinet, Matthieu Prince, the Deputy Director General for Africa, and Mr. Joaquin Tasso Villa-Longa, the Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Mauritania.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the opportunities and prospects for cooperation and partnership between our country and the European Union and ways of strengthening and developing them in the future.
