President of Republic, AU Chairman, Leaves for Dakar

On 1 December, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union (AU), left Nouakchott for the Senegalese capital to take part in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Thiaroye camp massacre, near Dakar.

Upon his departure from Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport, the President of the Republic was greeted by the Prime Minister, Mr. Moctar Ould Diay, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister Counselors at the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister of Justice, and the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Interior, Decentralization, and Local Development, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Nouakchott West, and the President of the Nouakchott Region.

The President of the Republic is accompanied by a large delegation comprising Messrs:

– Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister in Charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic.

– Hanana Ould Sidi, the Minister of Defense, Retirees, and Children of Martyrs.

– Ahmedou Ould Ahmedou, the Mauritanian Ambassador to Senegal.

– Admiral Isselkou Ould Cheikh El Wali, the Chief of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic.

– Harouna Traore, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic.

– Sidi Mohamed Ould El Ghaber, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic.

– El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
