On 29 November, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, returned to Nouakchott from Dakhlet Nouadhibou after a working visit and the launch of development projects on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of National Independence Day.
The President of the Republic was welcomed at Nouakchott International Airport by Mr. Moctar Ould Diay, the Prime Minister, Mr. Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdhaf, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdallahi Ould Ethmane and Ms. Aichata Ba Yahya, the Minister Counselors at the Presidency of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdallahi Ould Boye, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Henena Ould Sidi, the Minister of Defense, Retirees, and Children of Martyrs, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, the Minister of the Interior, Promotion of Decentralization, and Local Development, Vice-Admiral Isselkou Ould Cheikh El Wely, the President’s Chief of Staff, Ms. Gandega Fatimeta, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, Mr. M’Rabih Rabou Ould Bounena Ould Abidine, the Wali of Nouakchott West, and Ms. Fatimetou Mint Abdel Maleck the President of the Nouakchott Regional Council.
The President of the Republic was accompanied by a large delegation comprising:

– Mr.Thiam Tidjan, the Minister of Mines and Industry.
– Ms. Amal Mint Maouloud, the Minister of Water and Sanitation.

– Mr.Saleh Ould Dahmach, an Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic.
