Prime Minister Meets With Majority Parties’ Presidents

Within the framework of coordination with the majority parties, and in accordance with the directives of His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, met on 18 November, in Nouakchott, with the presidents of the majority parties supporting His Excellency the President of the Republic.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on ways of strengthening coordination and consultation mechanisms between the government and these parties on major national issues, and the need for joint action to meet the aspirations of citizens, particularly with regard to strengthening national cohesion, consolidating good governance, improving the living conditions of the population, and improving the political climate in the country.

The Prime Minister assured participants in the meeting that the government was determined to continue this type of meeting to exchange information and establish greater coordination and consultation within the Presidential Majority.
