Environment Minister Returns to Nouakchott

On 18 November, Ms Messaouda Mint Baham Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, returned to Nouakchott from Baku, Azerbaijan, where she chaired the Mauritanian delegation at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 29), taking place from 10 to 22 November.

During her stay in the Azerbaijani capital, the Minister chaired several bilateral and international sessions and conferences, addressing climate change issues in our country and on the African continent.

She also held meetings with several technical and financial partners, where she reviewed the country’s natural resources and the major investment opportunities that make Mauritania a destination for foreign investment.
