President of Republic, African Union President arrives in Baku for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

HE President of the Republic and Chairperson of the African Union, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived on Tuesday morning, November 12, 2024, in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Upon arrival in Baku, HE the President of the Republic was welcomed on board the plane by Mr. Fusal Zakiroglu Nasirli, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Azerbaijani Government, Mr. Burhan Mohamed, Director of Protocol at the Presidency, and other senior Azerbaijani civil and military figures, as well as our country’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan based in Turkey, Mr. Cheikh Sid Ahmed Elbakay Ould Hamadi.
HE the President of the Republic is accompanied by an important delegation that includes:

– Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic.
– Mr. Mohamed Ould Khaled, Minister of Energy and Petroleum.

– Mr. Ahmed Ould Ebah (Ehmida), Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic.
– Mr. Tal Ousmane, Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic.
– Mr. Mahfoudh Ould Ibrahim, Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic.

It is worth mentioning that HE President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, participated, on Monday, in the Arab-Islamic Joint Follow-up Summit, which was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and delivered a major speech at the opening of its proceedings.
