President of the Republic receives the Spanish Minister of Defense

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairperson of the African Union, Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, received, on Monday at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott, the Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles Fernandez, who is currently visiting our country.
The meeting dealt with bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them, especially in the security and military fields.
From the Mauritanian side, the meeting was attended by the Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Nani Ould Shrougha, the Minister of Defence, Retirees and Children’s Martyrs, Hanana Ould Sidi, the Chief of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic, Lieutenant General Isselkou Ould Cheikh El Wali, and Sidi Mohamed El Ghaber, in charge of the Presidency of the Republic.
On the Spanish side, the Spanish Ambassador to Mauritania, Mrs. MIriam Alvarez de la Rosa Rodríguez, the Secretary General for Defence Policy, Admiral Juan Francisco Martínez Núñez, the Director of the Cabinet of Minister Mercedes Gómez Mina, and the Director of the Technical Office of the Minister of Defense, Admiral Antonino Cordero Aparicio, attended.
