Minister of Economy and Finance Discusses with Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency

On the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Finance Institutions (IFIs) ld in Washington DC, Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Sid’ Ahmed Ould Bouh, discussed with the Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Mr. Yahara Masao, ways to promote and accelerate the implementation of JICA-funded projects in Mauritania.

During the talks, they discussed ways to accelerate the implementation of several development projects financed by the agency in our country, including the high-voltage electric line linking Nouakchott/Nieme.

The two sides also reviewed the technical support provided by the IAEA to the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Agriculture and Veterinary Affairs and the means of acquiring equipment for the Ministry of Fisheries, including a scientific research boat.
