Nouakchott

The Moroccan Cultural Centre in Nouakchott on Thursday evening organized a cultural and artistic evening on the occasion of the opening of its cultural activities for the year 2024-2025.

The centre, which was first inaugurated in Nouakchott in 1987, seeks to contribute to the consolidation and fortification of the common religious and cultural heritage between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and to enrich the local cultural and artistic movement of the two countries.

In his speech on the occasion, the Director of the Center, Mr. Hassan Zohairi, stressed that the Center has been keen since its inception to embody the common cultural relationship between the two sisters, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Morocco.

Zoheiri expressed his thanks to the Mauritanian authorities for their efforts to facilitate the mission of the center and carry out the role entrusted to it.

The evening was accompanied by performances and poetic and artistic interventions revived by Mauritanian personalities and groups.

The ceremony took place in the presence of a number of those interested in the field of culture and heritage and other invitees.
