National Human Rights Commission Meets With CTC Executive Directorate Delegation On 17 October, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Ould Brahim, the Secretary General of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), met with a delegation from the Executive Directorate of the UN Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC), led by its coordinator Monia Ben Hamou, who is currently visiting Mauritania. The meeting aims to assess progress made in implementing Security Council resolutions on counter-terrorism and discuss ways of overcoming challenges. During the meeting, the CNDH Secretary General gave a detailed presentation of the Commission’s role and functions, recent developments in the protection of human rights, and the exchange of cooperation and information between the Commission and other entities. For its part, the visiting delegation highlighted its role and tasks in fighting against terrorism and the existing challenges in this regard.
