Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty: Delay in the Works Implementation is no Longer Acceptable

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mr. MemmaOuld Beibetta, met on Tuesday evening at the ministry’s headquarters with representatives of institutions and companies associated with employment contracts with the ministry.

During this meeting,  the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty confirmed in a speech to the attendees that the delay in the implementation of the works is no longer acceptable.

He added that the ministry has issued strict directives in this regard stipulating that any party that has not fulfilled its obligations with the ministry will take strict legal measures against it.

The minister called on employers and owners of private companies to take all necessary measures to avoid any such action.

For his part, the head of the Mauritanian Employers’ Union, Mohamed Zeine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, called for the speedy implementation of projects contracted with the Mauritanian state, stressing that countries throughout history have only been built by the hands of their sons through their concerted efforts.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, some of the ministry’s staff, and a number of heads of institutions and companies.
