National Assembly Speaker Receives IMF Delegation

On 14 October, in Nouakchott, MP. Mohamed Bamba Meguett, the Speaker of the National Assembly, received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Mr. Felix Fischer, Mission Chief for Mauritania, accompanied by Mr. Younes Zouhar, IMF Resident Representative in Mauritania, and Mr. Moctar Bellamech, IMF Economist.

The meeting focused on the presentation of programs under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).

Discussions also focused on the IMF’s role in supporting the implementation of the country’s economic and social development strategy.
