Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission discusses the Family Building Charter with the President of the Mauritanian Employers’ Federation

– The President of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Mr Ahmed Salem Ould Bouhbeni, met on Monday afternoon with the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mr Mohamed Zine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, to discuss the Family Building Charter launched by the Union in support of young people.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the NHRC appreciated this initiative, stressing that the concerted efforts of the public and private sectors will be in favour of protecting the social and economic rights of citizens.

He emphasised the committee’s readiness to accompany employers’ initiatives related to economic and social rights.

During the meeting, the President of the National Employers‘ Federation gave a presentation on the Family Building Charter, which was launched during a meeting of the Executive Office of the Employers’ Federation, including explanations of the four items on which the Charter is based.

He also presented the results of the Union’s previous meetings in this framework, especially its meetings with the Mauritanian Ulema Council, parliamentarians, heads of regions and the Association of Mauritanian Mayors.
