The fiftieth session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Friday, August 30, 2024, witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and statutes concluded within the framework of the OIC.
The Republic of Gabon signed three of them, namely the Makkah Convention of the OIC Member States on Cooperation in the Enforcement of Anti-Corruption Laws, the Agreement on the Establishment of the Islamic Committee of the International Crescent and the Statute of the Islamic Telecommunication Union.
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Burkina Faso, the Republic of Niger, the Republic of Chad and the Republic of Gambia signed the Statute of the OIC Youth Support Fund for the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin.
The Republic of The Gambia also signed the Protocol on Preferential Tariff System for the Trade Preferential System among OIC Member States, the Rules of Origin for the Trade Preferential System among OIC Member States, the Statute of the International Islamic Court of Justice, and the Statute of the OIC Labor Center.
