Chinese Embassy in Nouakchott organises a Reception to Mark the Anniversary of the Founding of the Chinese Army

The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China accredited to Mauritania, HE Mr Li Baijin, organised on Monday evening in Nouakchott a reception to mark the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
The Government was represented by the Minister of National Defence, H.E. Hanana Ould Sidi, accompanied by an important delegation from the military headed by Rear Admiral Ahmed Said Ben Aouf.
On this occasion, the Military Attaché at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nouakchott, Mr. Zhou Tao, praised the depth of defence and security cooperation between the two friendly countries.
This year marks the 59th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the People’s Republic of China, he said, stressing that the Chinese army will continue to actively promote exchanges and cooperation with the Mauritanian army, and develop friendly and fruitful relations between the two armies.
