President-elect, receives a Congratulatory Message From the President of the Republic of Tatarstan

His Excellency the President of the Republic, President-elect Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received on Monday a congratulatory message from His Excellency the Head (Raïs) of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, Mr. Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov, on the occasion of his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for a new term.

That message reads as follows:

Mr President

Please accept my most sincere congratulations on your assumption of the presidency of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

Your re-election to the highest office of the State is a striking testimony to the support of the Mauritanian people for the political and socio-economic orientations that you pursue. May your action in this position, through which you serve your native country, be sustained and fruitful.

The Republic of Tatarstan, which is one of the largest and most developed regions in Russia and where more than half of the population is made up of Muslim Tatars, is developing its cooperation with many partners from African countries.

I am pleased to have had the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal, within the framework of the Russia-Africa Economic Forum 2023 and to have been able to discuss with him the most promising areas of cooperation.

I hope that the ties between the Tatars and the Mauritanians will continue to develop in order to strengthen the friendly relations already enjoyed by the Russia Federation and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
