Second Edition of the World Media Forum concludes in Shusha

The second edition of the World Media Forum, organized this year under the theme “Exposing False Narratives and Confronting Disinformation”, concluded Monday evening in the city of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan.

The third and final day of the forum witnessed discussion sessions, the first session of which dealt with “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Reality, Media and Misleading News: Media Awareness”.

Discussions focused on the role of modern technologies in the spread of disinformation, the impact of artificial intelligence on reality, media and disinformation, and the importance of media literacy to combat disinformation.

The second session, titled “Climate Change and Media”, discussed topics such as the role of the media in confronting climate change, the development of effective media mechanisms for a green world, and the importance of the media in creating a public agenda towards reducing the negative effects of climate change.

The third session was devoted to a presentation on “Solidarity for a Green World – COP29”.

The forum, which took place from 20 to 22 July, brought together more than 150 media experts and professionals from 50 countries, including representatives of 34 national news agencies, 3 international organizations and 82 media organizations.
