President of Republic Receives Congratulatory Message from EU Council President

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received a congratulatory message from the President of the European Council, His Excellency Mr. Charles Michel.

That message reads as follows :

“Mr. President,

I would like to warmly congratulate you, on behalf of the European Union, on your re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The European Union is determined to maintain and strengthen its partnership with Mauritania. I am confident that Mauritania in this new term you will  work to accomplish the legitimate aspirations of the youth, will continue to carry out the ongoing reforms, and maintain its constant commitment to regional stability, which is one of our many common objectives.

I wish you, Mr. President, every success in this term in the service of the Mauritanian people.
