Minister of Economy Meets With ESCWA Executive Secretary

On 12 July, in New York, Mr. Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, met with Dr Rola Dashti, the Undersecretary Secretary of the United Nations and General Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

The meeting was an opportunity for both parties to salute the excellent relations between Mauritania and ESCWA in areas of common interest.

The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen the prospects for cooperation between the two parties. It also examined the results of cooperation projects related to training, economic modeling, the digital agenda, and the digital incubator.

At the end of the meeting, the minister invited Dr Rola Dashti to visit Mauritania, an invitation which she accepted, the date of which will be fixed later.
