President of Republic Congratulated by Chadian Counterpart

On 4 July, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, President-elect, received a congratulatory message from His Excellency Mr. Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, the President of the Republic of Chad, on the occasion of his re-election to the supreme office of Mauritania.

The message reads as follows:

“It is with immense joy that I extend to you my sincere congratulations on your brilliant re-election to the Supreme office of your country. Your resounding victory in the first round testifies to the confidence placed by the Mauritanian people in your leadership and your ability to lead the country with wisdom and determination.

I am convinced that under your enlightened vision, Mauritania will continue to win the great battles of progress and development.

I take this happy opportunity to reaffirm Chad’s commitment to strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation that unite the two brotherly countries.

I remain convinced that our bilateral collaboration will contribute to promoting peace and prosperity in the Sahel region.
