2024 Presidential Elections: Candidate Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani Reviews Achievements, Electoral Program Main Lines to Population of Rosso
Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the candidate for the 2024 presidential election, affirmed that during his first term, he was able to achieve positive results, particularly the launch of the education reform process to begin the implementation of the republican school project, the construction of a large number of educational establishments, the recruitment, and improvement of the conditions of thousands of teachers, the construction and equipment of hospitals, centers, and health posts, the improvement of the situation of the most vulnerable citizens, the granting of health insurance to thousands of citizens in the Wilaya of Trarza, like other regions of the country, the asphalting of hundreds of kilometers of roads, the construction of bridges and headquarters of institutions and administrations, and the strengthening of the capacities of the armed and security forces, among other achievements.
Candidate Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, who spoke during an electoral rally organized by his campaign on 26 June in the town of Rosso, added that he would work to achieve a profound transformation of development at all levels through the implementation of an ambitious program that will strengthen social interventions in favor of disadvantaged sections of society and improve their access to basic services such as water, electricity, education, and health.
He also promised to extend health insurance, continue the implementation of the republican school project, improve the material and moral conditions of personnel in the education, health, and army and security sectors, complete the reform of the administration to bring it closer to the citizen, fight firmly against mismanagement and corruption and empower young people even more.
He declared that he had worked, over the last five years, to improve the living conditions of the population of the wilaya of Trarza thanks to investments amounting to MRO 195 billion, which places Trarza in the
first rank of investments made in the different wilayas of the country during that period.
He added that the achievements in the wilaya also included the construction of 18 educational establishments, the extension of 8 primary schools and 13 middle schools, the opening of 345 nurseries, the construction of three health centers, the launch of work on four other
, the completion of the Nouakchott-Keur-Macene electricity line, and the implementation of a project to supply the Nouakchott-Keur-Macene areas.
He also cited the implementation of an electrification project for agricultural production areas, the electrification of dozens of municipalities and villages, the construction of headquarters for state public institutions, the construction of two football stadiums in the town of Rosso, health insurance benefiting some 6,045 people in the wilaya and cash transfer for 13,024 families as well as regular food distributions.
Candidate Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani called on the inhabitants of Trarza to vote for him during the presidential elections, the first round of which will take place on 29 June, to continue the implementation of the development programs and launch new ones that will make it possible to take important steps on the path to development and economic growth.
