Presidential Elections 2024: Candidate Mohamed Lamine El Murtaji Elouafi presides over a campaign rally in Nouadhibou

Candidate Mohamed Lamine El-Murteji El Wafi presided over an election rally in the economic capital, Nouadhibou, on Sunday evening, attended by a number of his supporters.

The candidate said that he is a man of his word and will continue his reform project no matter what it takes to change the reality of Mauritania for the better.

He mentioned that in the 2019 elections he was called the youth candidate, but in these elections he became the candidate of youth and women, noting that gradualism is a year of the universe, and that his project will succeed “despite the nose of his opponents,” he said.

The candidate, Mohamed Lemine El-Murteji El-Wafi, said that what he called “corrupt people in Mauritania are bragging and openly displaying corruption,” adding that the city of Nouadhibou does not deserve to be polluted because of its great economic resources, pledging to make it one of the best tourist cities, if elected.

He promised to change the country for the better within the first year of his rule, calling on his supporters to intensify efforts, continue the struggle, and vote heavily for him on polling day, scheduled for June 29.
