President of Republic Arrives in Kiffa on Working Visit

On 11 May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, arrived in Kiffa, the capital of the wilaya of Assaba, at the start of a working visit during which he will inaugurate several development projects and find out about work underway in other projects.

Upon his arrival at Kiffa airport, His Excellency the President of the Republic was welcomed by Mr. Abderrahmane Ould El Hacen, the Wali of Assaba, Colonel Cheikh Sidi Bouya Saleck, the Commander of the 4th Military Region, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Habib, the President of the Regional Council of the wilaya of Assaba, Mr. Jemal Ahmed Taleb Kaboud, the mayor of Kiffa, and Mr. Mohamed Houcein Dieh, the Hakem of the Moughataa of Kiffa.

Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani was also welcomed at the airport by members of the government, the President of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, and local elected officials.

The President of the Republic reviewed units of the Armed Forces that came to pay him the honors before shaking hands with the military and security authorities of the wilaya, the President of the Insaf Party, several party leaders of the majority, as well as executives and notables of the wilaya.

The inhabitants of Assaba gave a warm popular welcome to His Excellency the President of the Republic, brandishing national flags and banners and singing folk songs magnifying the achievements accomplished in the different wilayas of the country and Assaba, particularly during this term.
