On 24 April, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received HE Ms. Laura Botta, the new ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Mauritania.

The meeting focused on various aspects of cooperation between the two countries, ways to strengthen and develop them, and issues of common interest.

During the meeting, the Italian diplomat gave the minister a figurative copy of her credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Mauritania residing in Nouakchott.
