President of Republic Receives HAPA Annual Report

On 16 April, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the annual report of the Press and Broadcasting High Authority (HAPA).

This report was submitted during an audience granted to the HAPA President, Mr. El Houssein Ould Meddou, who declared, after leaving the meeting, to the Mauritanian news agency, that he was honored to meet His Excellency the President of the Republic, to whom

he presented the annual report of the HAPA.

He noted that this meeting was an opportunity to discuss with the President of the Republic the achievements made within the framework of the media reform adopted after the creation of the high commission for the reform of the

media sector and share the various problems and difficulties that must be overcome to further strengthen the freedoms, training, control, and development carried out by the HAPA.
