Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Western Sahara

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, received on Tuesday evening in his office His Excellency Mr. Staffan De Mistura, Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in charge of Western Sahara.
The meeting discussed cooperation relations between our country and this international organization and ways to strengthen and develop them and issues of common interest.
The meeting took place in the presence of Mr. Mokhtar Mbaba, Ambassador and Director of the United Nations and International Non-Governmental Organizations at the Directorate General of Multilateral Cooperation, a number of the Ministry’s executives and the Coordinator of the United Nations programs accredited to Mauritania, Her Excellency Mrs. Lily Peters Yahya.
