Prime Minister Chairs Regular Meeting of Ministerial Committee in Charge of Human Rights

Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal Messoud chaired, on Monday at the Prime Ministry, the regular meeting of the Ministerial Committee in charge of Human Rights.

The meeting included a presentation and discussion of presentations on the level of implementation of the recommendations of the last meeting on the levels of strengthening judicial and security work mechanisms regarding the follow-up of human rights abuses and responding to the requirements of the roadmap against human trafficking, as well as the level of progress in coordinating the work of national bodies and mechanisms in charge of this field, in addition to the level of progress in harmonizing national texts with our country’s international obligations in the field of human rights.

In conclusion, His Excellency the Prime Minister committed the intervening sectors to redouble the efforts exerted in the field of promoting human rights in our country, which is an essential workshop and a key axis in the program of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, by establishing a culture of citizenship and human rights in various fields.
